ChemRisk^® scientists have helped clients resolve complex air quality issues involving chemical odor complaints, microbial growth in buildings, allegations of increased asthma, allergic responses, and various other “sick building” concerns. We have conducted building investigations, implemented appropriate sampling and analysis strategies, and helped our clients to provide sensitive, effective, risk communication to building inhabitants.

We have also investigated complex claims pertaining to indoor exposures to airborne chemicals and building material particulates suspected of causing chronic health hazards. As an example, we investigated claims of increased cancer incidence and developmental anomalies in office workers who believed they had been exposed to materials leaching from office walls, ceilings, furniture, and carpeting.
