ChemRisk Acquires Henshaw and Associates, Inc

John Henshaw Named Senior VP/Managing Principal for Industrial Hygiene and Safety Group

SAN FRANCISCO (February 7, 2011) ChemRisk LLC, a global risk assessment company, announced today the acquisition of Henshaw and Associates, Inc., a respected health and safety consulting firm. The move positions ChemRisk to expand its growing portfolio of services, including the creation of a new global Center for Occupational Health and Safety Sciences (COHS).

John L. Henshaw has been named Senior Vice President and Managing Principal for the ChemRisk Industrial Hygiene and Safety group and will also lead the COHS team. Henshaw brings extensive industry and government experience to the table, having served as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) from 2001-2004, and in several environment, health and safety positions at Monsanto Company; Solution, Inc; and Astaris, LLC. Henshaw also served as President of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and has published numerous papers, articles and texts that are often cited by experts.

As leader of the new COHS group, Henshaw will have oversight for a wide variety of consulting services to clients around the world, including industrial hygiene and occupational safety consulting, health and safety program management, exposure assessments and reconstructions, executive leadership training and coaching, and occupational health and safety litigation support.
