Food Safety

Since the late 1970s, ChemRisk® scientists have provided strategic and scientific support pertaining to regulatory approval of chemicals in foods and pharmaceutical agents. The risk assessment paradigm is, typically, considered the most effective approach for dealing with questions about food contaminants, and is often the approach most preferred by regulatory agencies. We have evaluated the safety of direct, indirect, and secondary food additives in many different foods and beverages, in addition to evaluating unintentional components such as trace concentrations of benzene, dioxin, trichloroethane, and other chemicals.
