In response to a lawsuit involving a fire at a manufacturing facility, we reviewed case materials including depositions, fire investigation reports, product MSDS’s, and company safety policies and procedures.

We evaluated the flammability potential of specific brands of paint and paint products that were used at the facility as well as the combustion potential of various types of used paint filters.

With regard to safety policies and procedures, we examined the disposal of used paint filters and the company’s treatment of hazardous waste.

We also reviewed worker protocols for activities in paint booths.

We relied on our crisis management, industrial hygiene, and litigation experience to complete this project.
